Kickin' BBQ

If you're like me, you're always looking for the new and fun snack to nibble on. One of my current obsessions is kale chips! They are a great way to incorporate more greens into your diet while still being delicious. These chips are so easy and quick to make, they may just become addictive.

The base recipe is the same, but if you would like to switch it up, you can add garlic powder or even whip up some of the BBQ seasoning below.

Ingredients:

- 1 bunch of kale, torn into small pieces

- 1 to 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

- pinch of sea salt

- pinch of garlic powder (optional) or a pinch of the BBQ seasoning (optional)

KICKIN' BBQ SEASONING:

- 2 tsp. brown sugar

- 1/4 tsp. chili powder

- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

- 1/4 tsp. onion powder

- pinch of cayenne pepper

- pinch of black pepper

Directions:

Heat the oven to 350 degrees F and begin by washing and drying your kale. After, tear into small pieces/ chunks and place in a bowl. Toss with the olive oil and place it on a lined baking sheet with tin foil. Make sure to spread out the kale chips so that you have an even layer. If not, the kale will steam instead of crisp up. Sprinkle on the sea salt and any seasoning that you choose to use. Bake the kale in the oven for around 10 minutes, but keep an eye on it as it can burn easily. After they are crispy to the touch, remove them and enjoy!
