Lettuce dive into this recipe! One of my favorite quick weeknight dinners is pork lettuce wraps. The hot, savory filling is so delicious inside the crisp and cool lettuce leaves. The beauty of this is that you can make it different every time! It can be made with all types of vegetables ranging from carrots and celery to potato and peppers-- the combinations are limitless. My favorite way to cook it is with pork, garlic, onion, and carrots. It's a super satisfying meal, perfect for those packed days where you can't be in the kitchen for long.
I start out by seasoning my ground pork. I like to use white pepper powder to add in a warm and spicy flavor. Be careful to not add too much because this stuff can get hot pretty quick. Brown the meat off in a pan on medium high heat. Push the ground pork off to the edges of the pan (you'll create basically a circle of meat). The amounts of each ingredient are in a 2: 1 ratio between the meat and veggies. Add in the diced onion and carrot and minced garlic and sauté until slightly browned. Mix everything together and add in about a tablespoon of chili garlic paste and a dash of soy sauce. Top the pork mixture with sesame seeds and enjoy!
